Song of the Sea (PG)

Young Ben lives in a lighthouse in Ireland. He is distraught when his mother disappears, but all is not what it seems – his sister Saoirse has a magical secret… From the same independent animation studio that brought us the brilliant Wolfwalkers (which we showed in the Festival last year), Song of the Sea is another beautifully animated tale that takes its cue from Celtic legend. Like that film it features shape shifting creatures, in this case “selkies” – mythical denizens of the sea. A rich tale with beautiful hand drawn animation, this will delight all ages with its magical, timeless quality.
