Based on the 1958 novel ‘Mrs ‘Arris Goes to Paris’ by Paul Gallico, this uplifting comedy drama tells the story of a widowed cleaning lady in 1950s London, played by the always brilliant Lesley Manville in a role of a lifetime, who falls madly in love with a couture Dior dress and decides that she must have one of her own. After she works, starves and gambles to raise the funds to pursue her dream, she embarks on an adventure to Paris which will change not only her own outlook, but the very future of the House of Dior.

Event Information

Unfortunately Anthony Fabian is no longer able to join us for this event as he will be attending the Italian launch of Mrs Harris Goes to Paris in Rome.

Her latest adaptation is Mrs Harris Goes To Paris, based on Paul Gallico’s novel.
