![]() Director Carl Hunter introduces his film Sometimes Always NeverWe are very grateful to Carl Hunter, Director of Sometimes Always Never, who has sent through a personalised introduction to be screened before the film tonight at the sell out event in Corfe Castle. Date Posted: 01/11/2019 | ![]() Sarah Outen feeds back from DurlstonLast night I presented our film 'Home' to a sell out crowd at the lovely, fuzzily warmly welcoming Purbeck Film Festival in the characterful Durlston Castle. A castle!!! When our film pimp (!) @jonnytull asked me way back if I’d like to present the film in a castle I zoned out of the rest of the info about the festival. A castle. I was sold. Then last night hearing how this 23 year old festival plays five films a night for two weeks across a range of venues, from pubs to castles and everything in between I got the sense of a real collective of energies working together to share and enjoy film in Dorset-and I fell in love. I and @lightshedpictures (in spirit) and our film received such a warm, tender welcome, full of support and curiosity and laughter. Organiser Andrea introduced the film as 'brave and existential' - I'll take that and put it with the 'elegant voiceover' that came with our @Guardian review last week. I'm generally more elephant than elegant, so that's one for the record. Anyway . Thankyou lovely @purbeckfilmfestival and all your team and the audience for coming out to play.
